I asked this question back in '2000 and didn't get an answer, so I'll 
try again:

While I can imagine taking along a Herc II for a DXpedition, I cannot 
imagine lugging the TT power supply too!
Can anyone suggest a switching power supply that might work with the 
Herc II?
