The Omni uses crystal mixing -- no synthesizer noise -- Ten Tec will
acknowledge that the price of the fancy stuff (gen cov receive,
etc) is the noise that the circuits add. I called to ask why the Argonaut II
didn't have that "signal popping out of the silence"
effect that the Argonaut and Tritons had and that is what they told me.
Pretty straight up.
