Follow on note to the previous.

Using the RX-340 which is callibrated down to about
-140 dBm on the S meter, the noise DOES
drop 10 or 11 dB when switching from a quiet
frequency on the band to the Bird dummy load
Meter drops to around -130 dBm on the dummy
load, from -119 or so on the 40 meter band.
This using 3.4 kHz BW on on the 340! Because
it is noise voltage being measure, the needle is
certainly NOT steady at a fixed reading; thus the
abouts/arounds above and in the previous note.

Carl how does your RX-340 track the noise vs.
the Orion meter?

The Orion S meter never drops below S1 here, when
connected to a dummy load; of course, no dBm scale
on the Orion.
