I too have noticed sweep lockups.  I don't use the sweep all the time, in 
fact rarely, but whenever I do it will lockup if the rig has been on for a few 
hours.

I also notice the sub-receiver audio stops working.

Is there some sort of memory overflow happening here?

Turning the rig off and on cures both issues.
