About 7'.

What proof do I have that there is a problem there?

Secondly, I do not want to waste 1 to 1.5dB loss in a 2KW balun.

Why are you 'pushing' balun's to 'fix' a problem that occurred only after I
updated firmware?

Where is there a mismatch in the system that would cause current flow
between the Orion/Titan/Matchbox?

No, it would not hurt to try, it would just waste my time as a current balun
in all likelyhood will not cure a problem that was induced by a firmware
update.
