I have used several Alinco switchers and Astron switchers in both HF and VHF/UHF weak signal applications over the last few years. With these supplies designed and manufactured in the last 5 years or less, no problems or radiation concerns have been observed. Earlier designed supplies and inexpensive (cost down) current designs will produce DC but may likely have lots of nasty other stuff! As to the RS model, I have no specific experience. However, with their generous return policy, get one, hook it up and listen. If you like it, keep it, if it generates noise take it back. 73 Bob, K4TAX |
