I have never been much in love with TT's knobs either....but found an easy
and no-cost way to fix them...
I just twisted a piece of steel wire around the outside of the part of the
inside of the knob, where the set screw is...and my old Corsair II is back
in business.....
Now if only TT would make decent knobs with brass inserts in the first
place! wonder what the fancy Orion has for knobs?

I am tired of replacing the cheap Ten Tec bandswitch knob. Even with just enough pressure on the setscrew to hold it in place in time they crack just from normal use.Have any of you tried this or any other methods to improve the bad design ofthis knob?Seems Ten Tec dropped the ball on this one and never tried to improve on thatflaw. The knob is fine it just needs an insert Ten Tec. If you guys at Ten Tec still monitor the reflector maybe you can give this some thought.I mean how many knobs do you have considering they only last about two yearsbfore they start to slip on the shaft.
