Jim, my last digit moves a bit as well. I think they all do that. It stops after it warm up a bit. I would not worry about it. As for the built in key. The 1/4 stereo jack operates the built-in Iambic keyer. A tip to ground connection sends dits and a ring to ground sends dahs. Keyer speed is controlled from front panel. Hope this helps.
