Grant,

My father was born near the ruins of the ancient Mycenaean city of Argos.  

He spoke/speaks to us in Greek but never Mycenaean so I guess I can't even 
decipher Mycenaean idioms (my Greek isn't very good either).

My Greek comprehension is better than my 100 wpm CW decoding though...
