Lee,
I am a 90% cw op. The stock Omni6+ is an exceptional cw radio, but a
mediocre SSB radio.
With that said, though, some simple modifications using kits and filters
bought from International Radio will enhance the Omni6+ and, I believe, will
give you a near exceptional radio on SSB.
The beauty of the Omni6+ is in it's simplicity, cost effectiveness, and ease
of use. It is especially easy for kids and guest ops to use. Not alot of
bells and whistles...but who needs them, anyway.
Once International Radio releases a soon to be released narrow roofing
filter for the Omni6+ it will be even better on cw and SSB than it is now!
