Back in the old days, Astatic actually made a adapter for mounting the D104 
head on a boom or gooseneck.Nothing more than a threaded short chrome pipe with 
connector for the head and the cable came out the side.  Very rare to find one 
today but next hamfest make sure you look thru all the boxes people put out. 
Found one last year and was only $1.00.
