| For some strange reason, the Corsair II is the "driftiest" of the bunch. New
grease might help but you'll never be totally rid of drift. There's a guy
selling a kit that is supposed to correct the drift. I recommend the rebuild
first and if that doesn't help then consider the kit: http://www.tomstubes.com/kits.htm#VFO Steve N4LQ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul DeWitte K9OT" <k9ot@mhtc.net> To: <TenTec@contesting.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 12:52 PM Subject: [TenTec] Corsair II PTO My Corsair II will drift 4 or 500HZ until warmed up. Does a PTO rebuild take care of this? Or do you do rebuilds just because of the hard grease? I have no problem with the turning of the vfo just the drift. Thanks for any response. 73 Paul K9OT _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
