FWIW....

I'm on 1.371, have been since it came out. I run a Alpha 91B in full QSK 
(loop enabled mode). I do mostly SSb but have done some CW.

I have had my Orion since Nov 2003. I use it a lot, it is my main radio (I 
also have a Sherwood mod R-4C & TX,,, the second best RCVR ever made, just 
behind Orion).

My Orion just works, everyday. 

I used it for hours on end during the CQ SSB contest, no issues at all.

Sorry to here others are having problems.
