Hi Al,
I noticed that during the 10 meter contest weekend,
there was some visible pumping. I was pleased to read
in the OMNI C manual that the rig's audio filter is
within the AGC. So I set that in the 500hz position to
kill the pumping, yet leaving lots of audio for the
SCAF-1 to finish with. It works really well. With all
the combinations, 150hz & 500hz internal plus
continous variable on the SCAF-1 it feels almost like
a 1980's Orion - hi.

An even better implementation of the SCAF filter would
be to get it within the audio AGC loop. I set up my
Omni A that way with a Datong FL3 - outstanding!
