For what it's worth I agree with Geoff in wondering if the "509 files" Clark
Savage Turner found could be put up on a web page or FTP site. I've found a
few mods online here and there but nothing that comes close to the "...many
really good mods and good insights into making that rig work very well."

I have a lovely in appearance 509, looks almost "NIB." It's a fun rig but
suffers from a really bad "pop" on initial key up followed by a bad case of key
clicks whenever sending. Only way to tame the key clicks I've found is to turn
the AF gain way down while sending and NOT use headphones.

Has anyone had any success in ridding their 509 of this problem using the
modification outlined by W1HUE's "Cleaner Keying for the Ten-Tec 509" article?
Lifting traces and drilling holes in circuit boards is not my idea of fun
unless the payoff is really worthwhile.
