[TenTec] Orion RF level tutorial needed

I would appreciate a brief explanation as to how the RF gain is supposed to
function on an Orion with 1.372.

 

I have no reason to think I have a problem with my Orion and 1.372,  but I
am not sure how the RF gain control is suppose to work now.

 

It would be appreciated if someone might point me to an explanation or
answer here.
