I've looked at the Rx-400 specs and I like them, I wish I could afford
one. :-) What I did not like is the control interfaces.
It seems to me that you have a choice of an Rs-232 port or a POTS
(regular telephone line), which is probably the RS-232 interface with
a cheap modem attached to it. It also supports (over the RS-232?) TCP/IP,
which is a bit more modern.
IMHO, they should forget the POTS and RS232 interfaces and include a
10/100mbit ethernet. Even nicer would be a streaming or point to point
output of the digital data directly over the ethernet.
