Duane;
I sent John a note concerning the Orion and my opinions. I don't like to post my opinions on the reflector and get bashed!!!
I told him that I was only mildly satisfied with my Orion. I've had it for 2 months now and I still find the background noise annoying as compared to my 746Pro. I was also disappointed in the scope and had heard that those having keying troubles were told to turn off the scope. Not enough processing time????
The NR seems useless to me, the screen isn't like my 756ProII. I run open wire feeders right into the shack and I get what I deserve HI. The rig goes into a "funny mode" when I run 1KW. I have to turn it off then back on.
There is only one serial output on the Orion, I need 2, one to my computer and one to my StepIR beam controller.
George
