Hi Rick,In many (perhaps most) applications it is desirable to have the non selected coax switch positions grounded. There are also some applications in which you do not want the non selected positions grounded. I do not think that a switch which does not ground the non selected positions is necessarily junk and unfit to be sold or given away. Of course there may be other qualities ( or lack of same ) that make thoses switches junk. DE N6KB Ed, it sounds like you were using an MFJ antenna switch! It's best to only use switches which ground all positions not being used. I threw my MFJ switches out. I didn't have the heart to sell them or even give them to someone because they are too dangerous. 73 Rick |
