Ira Franklin wrote: I know several of you fellows have already put roofing filters in your Omni 6's has anyone tried the roofer with out a narrow filter in the 9 mz slot? Would be interested in how it performed. Thanks Ira k4ymq I'm running the 600hz filter in my Omni VI without a filter in the NAR slot - works fine. I don't see/hear the need for a filter in the NAR slot due to how well the INRAD roofing filter works. The only benefit I can imagine where you would benefit is if you had a very narrow filter in the NAR slot like the #753 400hz or #760 250hz filter but you're boxed in pretty well as far as the sidetone pitch you use - the roofing filter and your NAR filter all have to match or you'll hurt your performance. The roofing filter by itself does an excellent job. 73 Jason N1SU |
