The Argonaut 505 is common at ham fests in Texas. Working they go for about $65-75. Non working, a friend got one with fried finals for $5. Finals can be substituted with a 4xxx transistor available at Tanner's Electronics in Dallas, or from Dan's Small Parts and Kits on the web. They are fun, but better Ten Tecs can be found in swap meets for a little more money. -Stuart K5KVH |
