Hi Chuck,Thanks for the information. You are right that you ought to use the attenuator. With the S meter pegged on the "in the passband signals", we don't know how far down the "out of the passband signals" are. (of course an Omni VI S meter is not a lab instrument, so we're not going to know with any great precision anyway) Nevertheless your observations are better than no data at all. Thanks, DE N6KB crude data Yes! When I zero beat KT0NY, he pegged the s-meter, of course. Next time I try this, I'll remember to obtain measurements with and without the attenuator on. |
