Perhaps nothing new to some of you but K4DPK has a Stabilizing Kit for older Rigs. I have the kit installed in a Corsair II. Have had hour long high speed CW QSO's and the Corsair has been stable as a rock. The other station in communication with uses a 250 Hz filter. Installation time approx half hour start to finish. As is well known by most dedicated CW ops the Corsair's were, and still are, known for their excellent keying. He has various kits for other models etc..
