Back in the days when I ran a TT 580 Delta full bore out for RTTY, I
discovered just how inadequate the TT power plugs were...
Still have the charred remains around somewhere.
My current digital mode rig, an Omni 6 plus has Anderson power connectors in
stead of the TT power plug.

Hi to All
This discussion makes me glad that I run my VI+ on a Drake PS7 (for
TR7). It never runs hot. No, I did not butcher the PS7 cables. I made
adapters. The VI+ power connectors certainly do seem awfully
light-weight when compared to the Drake connectors.

I have found that if anything needs a fan, it's the matching ten tec
linear
supply heat sink. but for either one, what works for me is a small
cheap
plastic 3" diameter 115 v. fan on a little table stand. i found mine in
the
local drug store for around 3 dollars.
