Much as I love cw contesting, I actually jacked the cqww contest in for one reason only and wonder how many US amateurs feel the same. The repetitive and boring exchange of zone numbers. ad nauseum. A whole 48 hrs contest DL 14, SP 15, YU 17. W 05 and so on ad nauseum is just not my idea of fun or inducing any competitive spirit. When you are cock-a-hoop at your 750 or so contacts and someone comes along with 1200, that really spurs you on to greater things.
