If we are talking about the getter, and tube care.

the one major thing that is different is that indrect cathode heaters is that it take more time to warm up. thus the 2 minute wait rule before applying HV,

They still need a warming period after setting on the shelf, just like the direct cathode heater tubes.


As TT Uses both types of tubes, all of this is good on the reflector, might save someone a trip back to TT for new tubes....

Very good information on the reference site.

I would point out that there is a vast difference in the way one treats
tubes with direct heated cathodes {filaments} 3-500 for example, and those
with indirect heated cathodes {heaters} 8877 for example.  The same rules
and treatments won't apply.
