One of the local AM BC stations should work just fine for this job.  Choose 
one that preferably is non directional and one that is in the 250 to 1000 
watt daytime power range.  Or look at propagation at 2.5 MHz, 5.0 MHz, 10 
MHz and 15 MHz WWV signals.  And for those non-general coverage receivers, 
CHU Canada is on 7.335 MHz.
