Henrick,

The answer to your question is yes I do. I have tried to determine a pattern
that causes the distortion but this is a hard one. It appears to change per
band. The RF gain affects it, the # of tap points affect it and the BW as
well. All my testing has been in CW with the AGC at fast or off.

On 80M the NR appears to have no effect. The distortion we are hearing
strikes me as an algorithm that can't figure out what the desired signal vs.
noise is. This happens on anything less than an s2 in strength (don't write
this one in stone). Is it an AGC setting issue in that the signal can't
capture the AGC therefore is treated as noise? I don't know. However, I have
left my AGC at factory default until this is resolved.

The bottom line is I don't get it and am very disappointed. What a great
radio to have to be held back by this issue. In many cases the NR on my
ts-2000 outperforms the Orion II.

So I need to retract my previous statements and now state that the NR needs
help!
