[TenTec] Orion V2 sweep mod disappeared on 2.055

Has anyone seen this?  I did the v2 sweep mod, loaded 2.054b (sweep
ok), didn't like it, and reverted to 1.372.  Now, I loaded 2.055, and
it is now telling me "V2 Mod not detected".  I've tried all known
resets (master reset, memory clear, battery).  I've also reloaded
2.054b and now the V2 mod is not detected, even though it worked
before.

Could this possibly be a firmware issue?  Or maybe my board surgery is
being rejected? Next step is to tear open the box again and check the
v2 mod wiring.  (not a pleasant prospect for me!)
