I second that. Just tried and it works the way it's supposed to.

James,
Recommend you do a Master Reset and a RAM reset. My Orion 565
works just fine in split mode on 40m LSB. I just experimented with the
RX (VFO A) set anywhere from 7004 up to 7090 and it worked fine. TX VFO
(B) was set at 7180. Listened on a Grundig YB-400. Sounds fine. I've
also worked SSB DX contests on 40m where it's always split to the DX, and
it has worked fine then too. Currently I'm on 2.056 firmware, but works
fine on 1.372 and earlier versions as well.

       Hope this helps.

       73, Duane

I have had the same issue with an Orion 565 & 566. I am unable to operate split operation LSB on 40 whenever my RX VFO is below 7100 with my TX VFO in
the US 40M SSB band (7150-7300).

Is there something special I must set to enable this split operation? Foreign DX stations hang out in the 7040-7075 Khz area and I am unable to call them from within US phone band. The minute I QSY my RX VFO above 7100, I can TX split. It does not make any difference whether VFO A or B is in RX
or TX. The result is the same.

Please reply
