Very interesting post, closest to philosophy I have ever seen on a ham site!

You might want to read "An Army of Davids" by Glenn Reynolds ("Instapundit"), who is an apostle of the new advocacy technology.

At bottom, people have to act out of their own convictions. Some I've come in contact with would never touch a Ten-Tec product; others, of course, will and do. This site is useful to glean useful info on radio stuff in general--witness K4TAX's work on grounding.

If someone lacks convictions, I do not envy him/her navigating the worldwide web, let alone this particular reflector! Successful Ten- Tec products, in my experience: OMNI VI, Argonaut V, Jupiter. The latter is most appealing to me for operating ease and enjoyment, but don't let it get near a contest!
