As in previous V2 releases, BinRx doesn't work in 2.059d. It changes the audio, producing a sort of "surround sound" effect, but doesn't create any spatial differentiation between CW signals of different pitch. In V1, signals matching the selected sidetone pitch appeared centered between the headphones, signals lower in pitch were shifted towards the left headphone and signals higher in pitch were shifted towards the right headphone (the "spread", or degree of shifting, should have been greater, but it was useful nonetheless.) In 2.059d, signals of all pitches appear centered between the headphones. The difference between the two versions is readily apparent when tuning across a CW signal. 73, Dick WC1M |
