Well, since everyone has had a few weeks to play with the new AGC settings
on the new firmware V2.059, I was wondering what everyone has settled with
on the AGC settings on each speed (slow, med, fast). I have seen settings
for the O II, but wonder if you guys on the O I are doing the same thing. I
am still hearing the digital artifacts at times, but adding a little hang
time helps, but does not cure 100% (it is not heavy artifacts; just small
"peaks" that occurs at voice/noise peaks; which is what I assume the result
of the new AGC delayed reaction in this release).
Also, how is everyone liking the TX audio? Do you think it is back to
"normal" as it was in V1 on the low-end? I now have all my settings,
including mic gain, W2IHY settings, EQPlus settings, as I did in V1.
The code is still very stable for me.
