hallo John

yes, I tried 3 times the Battery reset and than the Master Reset, but it´s
always the same?
Perhaps, it is a hardware problem?

Bernhard,

Have you tried the Batter failure reset? I had trouble with my display in
September 2003 when I tried a beta version of the Orion software. Luckily
for me, the Ten-Tec Hamfest was the next week. I took the rig with me and
to clear the memory completely, they had to remove the backup battery.
Shortly after that, they added the function of holding the VFO-B lock and
turning on the radio. When battery failure shows on the screen, release the
button. This may help. You can read about it at
http://rfsquared.com/index.php?s=Updates&c=565&id=4. It says my screen went
blank.

Hi Danny

I bought in June, 2006 an Orion I V2 with Firmware 2056. A few days later,
the sub RX hanged up. The S-meter was full on the right side and I heard
only noise.
After I turned on the radio a few times, the sub rx worked again.
Than, if I use headphones, after a while I couldn´t hear anything. Also the
speaker is mute.
A new phenomen was last week, the sub rx hanged up, than I could hear the
audio of the main RX on the audio path of sub RX. I could turn the volume
of the Main RX with the Sub RX knob.

My German TenTec Dealer always says, it´s a software problem; now I used
three different firmware and the problems are the same.
That is not a good promotion for TenTec Radios

schedules, but this afternoon I noticed that after a while of operating, the
control panel freezes up. The rig is still working when this happens, I just
cannot change anything since none of the controls work. I performed a master
reset, but it still happens. I turn the rig off and back on, and everything
works fine for a while. Anyone else experience this ? Any ideas ?
