[TenTec] Jupiter & 708 microphone?

I have a Ten-Tec Jupiter, and recently obtained a 708 microphone. The 708
has difficulty driving the Jupiter to full power even with the mic gain set
to 100%. I called the factory today, and was told to increase the gain using
the internal pot. I tried this, but found the gain was already near the
maximum setting. 

Has anyone successfully used a 708 microphone with the Jupiter? What is
needed to make it work?
