Ken,
I have the Timewave DSP-599zx and find it very useful. Yes, the noise
reduction works very well. I don't think there is any rig at any price that
can't be improved with it for noise reduction and in audio bandwidth
filtering. It conditions the audio output from my Orion II very nicely on
CW.
