[TenTec] Omni V Stability mod

Hello and Happy New Year to the list,

I have a newly aquired Omni V and am wondering about a particular mod that TT 
did to these rigs to improve drift. I believe it was a regulator or regulator 
board installed in the rig  somewhere.

Is anyone familiar with this? If so where in the rig should I look and is it 
worthwhile getting if the rig doesnt have it. 

Rig is stock s/n shows it to be produced in 1990. I will be upgrading it to a 
V.9 and adding additional filters to it as well.
