And please don't forget the key-click mod! It probably doesn't cost much, but the older V's were known for the problem.

        Only if you have a source for cheap filters
or don't need many.  At $155 each for the 455 kHz IF
and $115 for the 8.2 MHz IF, they can add up very
quickly.  I had pairs of 250, 500 and 1800 in the
Main RX and a 500 in the Sub RX, for a total of about
$935...not to mention the $165 roofing filter to put it
anywhere close to Orion's front end.  Compare $1750 +
935 + 165 = $2850 to an original Orion plus Inrad #762
for around $2500.  And don't forget to add the key
click mod to the Yaesu!
