I always use color 3 and only detect the flicker in some lighting contexts
and at extreme viewing angles.  No flicker under normal room light, viewing
head on. Run my back light on medium. What I see flickering is the
gold/brown framing.

I also use Color 3, backlight LOW. I can detect a slight flicker when I 
key, using full power. It's most noticeable (still not very) when 
looking at the blue highlighted MULTI function (RF Gain, usually, here), 
but it can be detected in the main VFO's frequency readout.

This is SOOOOO trivial, guys!
