No. Want to by 10 of something? It is not fun scanning every one, one by
one, and then getting yelled at by the machine that you have either NOT put
your item in the checkout area, or have put TOO MANY items in the checkout
area.

I figure it's better to find the one real checkout human than risking a
court-mandated anger management class after destroying the self-checkout
kiosk with the 10 lb sledge hammer I just bought :)

I was in Home Demented last night, and the ONLY checkout was the
"self-checkout". There were no humans, save for the one person person
"assisting" the self-checkout crowd. I abandoned my purchases in the
checkout aisle and went across the street to Lowe's. I remember when Lowes
first opened, that if there was any line with more than two people in it
they opened another line. Now of course, they have ONE and ONLY ONE open
checkout line and it wouldn't matter if there were a 60 minute wait -- I
suspect they have no more than 2 employees in the store at any given time.
Heaven help you if you need some assistance. But at least they DO NOT have
those infernal "self-checkout" things.

:)
