I just sold an Icom 746 due to all the birdies and bought an Omni V. It has a
few, but nothing like the 746.

Model 564 and 566...
The birdies on the 6+ are mostly not audible with the antenna connected, why
would I butcher on my radio to cure that?
So, I agree with others, retorque the screws and use your free time to work
on things that are actual problems...
