I've been thinking of getting a Hercules II to run with the Omni V, but wonder what sort of power supplies are suitable. Some people use deep cycle batteries with chargers, but right now, I am more inclined to use line power. Does the MFJ (gasp, choke)switching supply for their 500 watt mobile amplifier work adequately with a Hercules II? Or, does it take a stack of Astron supplies to keep one of these adequately fed? It seems like the amplifiers are a whole lot more common than are the 100 amp Ten Tec power supplies. 73, Steve WA9JML |
