An old time repeater and two way guy I know is going to check his records, but he said to make sure the Micor is not a magnetically regulated transformer. IF it is, it would have a capacitor of high voltage across the transformer winding. Certainly the diodes in series will work; the bucking filament transformer might work. You would use half of the center tapped 6.3 VAC transformer in series with the primary of the Micor, and its primary on the AC line.
