I have been using "CablesToGo" (www.cablestogo.com) that cost about $20 and it works for my Orion II. I have also used it successfully on a original Orion, and E-Trex GPS and a couple of others. It works with Windows XP and Vista.

Subject: [TenTec] Serial to USB converter

I bought a Jupiter in 2001 and have since been using a serial cable to connect the serial port on the Jupiter to the serial port on my computer. I recently bought a new computer which has no serial ports but several USB ports.

Is there a serial to USB adapter or a serial to USB cable available that will allow downloading software from the USB computer port to the Jupiter?

Please excuse the dumb question, but I've never had to deal with this type conversion before.
