I only put out my note because, for me, the 250 Hz filter works great. As I
said, I see no impact on BDR or IMD from an operational standpoint. That
includes "close-in" strong stations.
Everyone may experience something different. My experience has been great
and wish I had done it earlier. And, yes, I have manually switched the
roofing filters looking for problems.....and finding none.......so far.

Thats what happens when you go from memory and don't check your notes.
I was reminded in a private e-mail that I was wrong. The 250 Hz filter
does indeed use the extra gain stage also used by the 500 Hz filter.
