I think you'll like it (V-1)better ,John. Especially on noisy 160/75 meter bands. You'll like the way you can: 1-Set NR for 2-3, 2-add attenuator till "S" meter is at Zero, 3-And listen to nothing at all until a signal just "POPS" in out of the noise. (Without affecting sensitivity!) Let us know how you like it. My Orion has not had the V-2 mos yet(lazy), so I just leave the sweep OFF.
