Hmm, now that you ask, Gary, I'm not sure . . .   I guess it wasn't with the
B+ turned off, but just idling.  You know, the memory is a tricky thing . .
. :-)  At least, I don't remember running filaments alone with the plate
caps removed and the interlock open - nah, it must have been with B+
applied.

Duane,

How did you accomplish that ?  Did you have the means to shut off the high
voltage ?  Did you disconnect wires ?

Did you run them in a test fixture that had only filament power  (and a fan)
?
