[TenTec] Omni VII rig control w/logging software

I have recently purchased an OMNI VII.  I can't seem to get it to  
work with N1MM, or a couple of other free logging programs that I  
tried.  All I get is an error message.  The various software purports  
to support the Omni VII.  I'm using a usb to serial adaptor that  
worked fine with my Mark V. Am I missing something?  Have others had  
similar problems?  Appreciate any help.
