I wonder if the 4CX800's will be a direct replacement for the GU47b's? IIRC there never really was a 4CX800, that was just a label given to the Russian tubes since that described them in 'Eimac' terms.

Molly at Alpha indicates that 4cx800s are becoming available again and that Alpha will offer matched pairs in the January timeframe. She didn't indicate a price. If they are available to Alpha I am sure they will be to Ten Tec. I am not sure I would write off the 4cx800 based amps yet. Now, I don't think these are current production items, but NOS Russian sourced. Even so, those 4cx800s have been a great value to the ham community for the last 10 years or so. They have proven super reliable for me. Maybe a good strategy would be to pick up a spare matched set - would probably last most of us for the rest of our lives. I do believe you would need to swap them with your current finals to keep them from getting gassy.
