if you are looking for appearance buy the Ten Tec. if you want sound find a
good 8 inch woofer in a small wood box (auto application works great). that
sounds MUCH better. sometimes you can find such speakers at auto sound shops
cheap, but good quality--maybe even used for really cheap. i found two 8
inchers with one box--built for 2 speakers as i have 2 Orions--all under
$100. the 8 inch speaker is wonderful for the audio range of about 500-3000
Hz in such an application. it normally drops off on both ends.
